Heilsa Mental Health developed out of years of working closely with individuals navigating demanding personal, academic, and professional environments. Across these settings, a consistent pattern emerged: many people who appeared capable and composed outwardly were quietly managing persistent internal pressure, chronic worry, and mental exhaustion.
These experiences were often not the result of a single event, but the accumulation of expectations, responsibilities, and long-standing patterns that had gradually become difficult to sustain. What many individuals needed was not simply advice or reassurance, but a space where their experiences could be examined carefully and without urgency.
Heilsa Mental Health was created to offer that kind of space.
The practice is intentionally structured to support thoughtful, steady work. Rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction, sessions are designed to help individuals better understand the patterns that shape their responses to stress, relationships, work, and personal expectations. This process allows clients to move through challenges with greater clarity and intention rather than feeling caught in cycles that are difficult to shift.

About the
Therapist & Founder
Kassandra is a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed in Texas and Oklahoma. She provides telehealth psychotherapy for individuals navigating anxiety, relationships, parenting, ADHD, burnout, and life transitions. Services are offered in both Spanish and English languages.
She was born and raised in Texas to Salvadoran parents. On her journey to becoming a therapist, she worked full time while attending school full time and completing two internships. That experience shaped her understanding of responsibility, identity, family dynamics, and navigating multiple systems at once. It informs her sensitivity to the quiet pressure many capable individuals carry.
Clinically, Kassandra has worked in private practice, college settings, elementary schools, community clinics, and integrated care environments. She has supported children, adolescents, adults, seniors, couples, and families across diverse communities.
Before transitioning into full time psychotherapy practice, she spent over eleven years in higher education serving in career counseling, program managment, and as a college professor. She supported students navigating academic systems, career decisions, and major life transitions. That work continues to inform her holistic and developmental approach to therapy.
In elementary school settings, she provided psychoeducation to teachers and staff on typical and atypical development, including ADHD and autism presentations. She facilitated restorative circles with students and taught empathy based classroom lessons designed to strengthen communication and emotional awareness.
In clinic and integrated care settings, she collaborated with primary care providers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver structured outpatient psychotherapy and coordinated care. In these settings, she deepened her appreciation for working across the lifespan.
Her therapeutic approach integrates:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Core belief & cognitive restructuring work
Attachment informed relational insight
Exposure informed techniques
Emotional regulation skill building
Behavioral activation
She offers bilingual services in English and Spanish and provides telehealth psychotherapy across Texas and Oklahoma.
Her practice is grounded in clarity, steadiness, and practical insight. She helps clients understand the patterns shaping their lives and move forward with greater direction and self trust.
